Weekly Meal Plan Ideas {All Nerdy & Mostly Low Glycemic}

I wasn’t planning on posting this, then my sister was talking about how she dreaded making meal plans. I feel the same. If you are like us you hate grocery-shopping day mainly because our brains get set on grilled-cheese mode when we try to think of a possible meals for the whole week (I know, life is tough eh?).

I have this embarrassing and nerdy habit of writing down our meals, which I use as reference to repeat some weekly meal plans. So I’m nerdily sharing some of these meal plans with you in case they are helpful to you.

And some tips, cause you can’t nerd-out without the token tips!

1.      Take time to compile a list of meal ideas (check out this pagefor Our Monster Meal List for a template)
2.     Find a shopping system that works for you. Something that allows you to easily find the meals and get a recipe list for shopping. We us this wonderful app called MealBoard. You add all the meals/ingredients (I add a few each month and now we have a huge list). Then you choose your meals and it compiles a checkable shopping lists for you. Check off whatever is already in your cupboards and fridge then head to the store.
3.     Some weekly templates we can defer to of meals we like to eat and make often. Here are some of ours…..
