I started cleaning out my closet for the #moms30for30
No YOU have a cardigan problem! Yeah, so maybe there is a librarian on Pinterest with a picture of my sweater collection on her ‘Chilly and Stylin” board.
I tried on most everything in my mish-mash of career woman, mom, pre-pregnancy, pregnant, post-pregnant clothes.
I’m paring it down (well, stashing everything in a corner in my closet so I can slowly forget it exists and let it go).
I am getting rid of things that are unflattering, worn out, or neglected.
Which is hard because some of the items were pricier (for me, El Cheapo)
Some of them were trends I loved but I held out a couple seasons to buy, and now they are outdated (once again, a problem of El Cheapos).
Some of them just don’t fit into my new life, they were clothes I wore when I worked, or stain easily.
I’m aiming to keep clothes I love wearing. Clothes that I feel are a reflection of me and not some trend I think I should follow.
So here are my (rough) 30 picks. Some of these clothes I’ve had for over seven years. Some I just bought seven days ago.
I’m going to learn how to make them a versatile part of my wardrobe rather than something I wear in only one way. Or something I am paralyzed to wear because I don’t take the time to learn how to wear it. I’m barely a week in already struggling with a blue tank I thought I would love when I tried it on.
Stay tuned for weekly(ish) updates on the blog and every-few-day(ish) updates on the InstaFeed. Find all the moms joining in with #moms30for30. Because I know you are emotionally invested in this journey with me, right?
